Remember your loved ones by ordering a memorial bear.
Hand-Crafted Memorial Bears
Bears are made from fabric provided by the family from an article of clothing* of the person being remembered. All bears are hand-crafted by Lightways volunteers.
Bears Available in Two Sizes:
- Small- Suggested donation of $40.
- Large- Suggested donation of $50.
Prices are a suggested donation for basic bear. Other customizing cannot be guaranteed but will be considered with an add-on fee.
Each bear is created by one of our talented volunteers. No two will ever look alike. Bear size may vary depending on the size and type of material provided. The size of your bear may limit the number of embellishments our volunteers are able to use for your bear(s). *Bears cannot be made from fur or leather.
How to Order Memorial Bears
Please allow 6-8 weeks for bear orders to be completed. You will be contacted once your order is ready for pick-up.

Memorial Bear FAQs
How much do the memorial bears cost?
Small Bears start at $40.00.
Large Bears start at $50.00.
What sizes are the memorial bears?
Small bears are approximately 15” when sitting.
Large bears are approximately 18” when sitting.
How many clothing items do I need to create the bear?
The number of clothing items we need will depend on which size you order.
Small Bear
Ladies
– One/Two items of clothing for ladies small-medium.
– One item of clothing for Large or XL
Men’s
– One item of clothing for men’s small- -XL
Large Bear
Ladies
– Two items of clothing for S-M
– One item of clothing for l-XLG
Men’s
– One item of clothing for men’s S-XL
What material is the best to use for memorial bears?
– Cotton, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and jeans are the best materials to create bears.
– Most knitted items can be used but may alter the bear’s size. Bears cannot be made from fur or leather. Clothes must be clean and in good condition.
– Please note that there may be variations, due to the very different natures of the fabrics we receive, the final item may differ slightly.
Do you customize?
Customizing cannot be guaranteed but will be considered with an additional fee.
How long does it take to create a memory bear?
– Please allow 6-8 weeks for the bear’s orders to be completed.
– For guaranteed delivery before Christmas, all orders must in in the office by November 1st.
What payment do you accept?
– We accept cash, checks, or charges. Orders placed online are by Credit Card only.
