Join us September 14 for a Whimsical Evening of Goodwill to Benefit Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care!
You are cordially invited to Wonderlight–an all-new event at the all-new Firefly Pavilion at Morton Arboretum in Lisle.
Scheduled for Thursday, September 14 from 5:30—9:00 pm, our goal with this event is to gather Lightways’ greatest supporters for an evening of fun, fellowship and fundraising in a beautiful, relaxed setting. We’ll go short on speeches and long on the opportunity to be together in support of Lightways’ mission.
Some highlights:
- We’ll be the very first group to use the beautiful, open-air Firefly Pavilion that overlooks the Arboretum’s stunning Grand Gardens. Want to check out the stars? The expansive patio is the perfect spot.
- Dinner and drinks will abound with something for every appetite.
- We’ll be honoring the women of two incredible organizations with the Heart of Hospice We are so grateful for the support we receive from:
- The Holly Club of Joliet
- Sue Mammosser—Mammo Strong Inc
- We are putting together incredible silent auction items and lush raffle baskets. Check back for more details about those items and our paddle raise.
- And what else can you expect? How about the unexpected? We’re having a bit of fun with our whimsical Wonderlight theme. This night will be anything but stuffy.
Your generous support of Wonderlight will make a significant impact on the care we provide.
As the largest nonprofit hospice in Illinois, we rely on fundraising to cover approximately $1.5 million in uncompensated care that we provide annually. This includes our pediatric palliative program, our community grief support and our charity care. It also includes a dozen clinicians who provide direct patient care for which we receive no insurance reimbursement. These are all essential parts of the unwavering guidance and support Lightways provides.
