FREE CEU EVENT: Difficult Conversations: Skills for Navigating Complicated Topics in Hospice Care

Stacy S. Remke, MSW,LICSW, APHSW-C, FNAP
University Of Minnesota School Of Social Work
Stacy is a Senior Clinical Instructor at the University of Minnesota’s School of Social Work, teaching in the areas of health, disabilities, aging, grief and loss, integrative behavioral/mental health and inter-professional collaborative practice. Her clinical experience includes 27 years as a pediatric palliative care social worker, assisting children with life- threatening and/or chronic, complex conditions and their families in home and community based settings, as well as in the hospital. She was a founding leader of the palliative care service at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of MN. There she led Children’s Institute for Pain and Palliative Care (CIPPC) providing education and training in palliative care for practicing clinicians nationally and internationally. Stacy was also a Co Investigator for the NCI funded curriculum development project Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care for Pediatrics, “EPEC-Peds.” She continues to champion family centered, collaborative practice through education, training and writing.
